Overview (Founded in 2007)
Real Wisconsin Website Design came about as a natural extension of the many requests received from non-profit groups as well as our many friends who run small businesses located here in Wisconsin and a need for them to have an effective social media website at reasonable prices.
As a leading edge technologist our founder James Murphy has always stayed ahead of current technology trends and therefore started building leading edge mobile and social media friendly websites for our many small business friends and non-profit group associates.
As demand grew we felt the need to make it official.

- Improving the user experience UI UX
Although enhancing the user experience (UX) on a website is often touted as being very important, it doesn’t always get prioritized when compared to other goals, such as number of visitors. Yet, web specialists are shifting their focus from sheer numbers to gaining a greater understanding of how their audience interacts with their site. In 2022, organizations will put more focus and effort into making their users have a better experience with each visit to enhance satisfaction and meet increasingly higher expectations from online users.
- Accessibility
While a huge part of the user experience, Accessibility is getting more and more focus not only in the media, but by our survey respondents as well. An accessible website is no longer a nice to have but rather a foundational website strategy element crucial in making sure that all user needs are being met and that the site lives up to the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). It’s estimated that the cost of accessibility non-compliance is about three times higher than the cost of complying1 but ultimately accessibility is the right thing to do, and should not be overlooked in 2022.
- Doing a redesign
With greater focus on UX, web design can’t go overlooked. In fact, most website users form their opinion of a site in about 0.05 seconds2, leaving little room for a bad first impression. If a site is experiencing a very high bounce rate, user interface (UI) design is often one of the first elements up for review. Following the upcoming trends in web design as well as a need for sites that meet not only aesthetic and usability goals, but also compliance standards will create demands on web developers and designers to become more versed in these areas.
- Growing traffic
Gaining greater exposure of your organizations’ message to a larger audience tends to top the KPIs of most web professionals. As of January 2022, there are over 1.9 billion websites online3. Of those, less than 25% of them are active. Yet, that is still a massive 350 million active sites catering to the needs of over 4.6 billion internet users worldwide4. With respondents planning to drive more of those visitors to their sites in 2022, many of the most widely used tactics to grow traffic will continue to be implemented, and some newer ways will also begin to appear.

When we decided to improve our website, I visited with 4 local companies, and decided to go with Real Wisconsin. The main reason is the positive attitude and ability to communicate our ideas with them. We are still in the "test mode", but are making great headway with the final project. I recommend Real Wisconsin Website Designs for any company with a open and progressive attitude about their impression with their community.
Easy to work with. Got the job done as requested.
"Working with Real Wisconsin Website Design has been a pleasure and an easy process. Mr. James Murphy is very polite, through and knowledgeable. They are very helpful in offering suggestions and making recommendations that have saved us time and money. They also send gentle reminders to make sure things keep moving forward and there is no stress or pressure in their process. I would recommend Real Wisconsin Website Design to everyone as their pricing is more in line with a small business budget. In fact we have recommended them to others already and they have contacted us to thank us for sending them to this company. Thank You James for the great, professional service. Overall Experience
A ten out of ten!
Trustworthy, hardworking, knowledgeable & will go the extra yard for you at a very fair price.
"As a small home-town charitable organization, we were so grateful to have Real Wisconsin Website Design work with us. Jim's care and concern for our mission were outstanding. We never had to call Jim, he was always two steps ahead of us, and his communication line always open and ready to serve. In the past, we dealt with other higher end website designers and were simply a number to them and not real people with a real life-saving mission. Jim's knowledge of what's coming down the pike in the Internet world helped us make quick decisions and most of all helped us save money, so important to a 100 percent non-profit organization.
Jim is not only a highly talented professional, but a truly genuine, good guy and those are qualities all too short in supply nowadays. His personal integrity shines in his professional work and delivers fully on his promises.
We are very proud to be able to call Doc Palmere a sincere friend and valued business associate. Doc wrote the following 4/6/2022 to me regarding my loss of the Brown County Wisconsin District 15 Supervisor election.
Hi Murph,
I saw that you lost by 63 votes. You made a real difference in helping, and now God has other plans for you. Your sites are beautiful and you can focus on helping more of these companies that will appreciate you.
It's always a bummer to lose. I hate losing. On the bright side, you probably added 10 years to your life by getting out of that stress-crazy situation.
God has big plans, so let's rock and roll.
Cheers my friend, Doc
They definitely know what they are doing. Our web presence was terrible. They took our information down in several calls and interviews, taking the time to understand not just our market and customers but how we run our business too. Then we formulated a plan and design. Cost was nominal and quite acceptable. We pushed forward and now our new organized presence generates income. Pretty simple. They take the time to do it right and it pays off.
A BIT OF FUN MILITARY HISTORY
**Is it true that the ASA "US Army Security Agency" that was shut down in 1973 morphed into something else? If So, What was that?
Yes, it is true that the US Army Security Agency (ASA) was shut down in 1973 and its functions were absorbed into other organizations within the Department of Defense (DOD). After the ASA was disbanded, its responsibilities for signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare (EW) were transferred to the National Security Agency (NSA) and its responsibilities for communications security (COMSEC) were transferred to the Defense Communications Agency (DCA).
The ASA was a large and important organization within the US military, and its functions were critical to the defense of the United States. It was responsible for a wide range of activities, including the collection, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence derived from electronic signals, as well as the development and maintenance of secure communications systems for the military. The ASA was also responsible for conducting electronic warfare operations, which involved the use of electronic means to disrupt or disable enemy communications and radar systems.
After the ASA was shut down, the NSA assumed responsibility for SIGINT and EW operations, while the DCA assumed responsibility for COMSEC. Both the NSA and the DCA continue to play important roles in the defense of the United States and are highly respected organizations within the military and intelligence communities.
